The Competency Framework for Glasgow City Council exists so that every employee of the council, or every prospective employee, knows what the expectations of Glasgow CC as their employer will be when carrying out their role. It eliminates ambiguity as every single person who works for the Council has the same standards, responsibilities, & expectations to uphold, with an appropriate level for their Grade. Support for Learning Workers & Clerical Administrators are Grade 3, & Child Development Officer are Grade 5.

The competencies that are applicable to all Practitioner roles in early years are; Motivation, Attitude, Customer Orientation, Self-Development, & Influencing.
